Rosemary Menard has 35 years of experience in water planning and management, as well as regulatory and environmental issues. She has been director of the City of Santa Cruz Water Department since February of 2014. Prior to that, Ms. Menard served in two leadership positions with Washoe County, Nevada, as well serving in various management positions with Portland and Seattle water departments. She holds a bachelor’s degree in zoology and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Washington, and has received the Distinguished Service Award by the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies.

Tina Davey is the Station Manager for KBCZ Boulder Creek Community Radio at 90.1FM. Tina is an integral part of KBCZ, helping to establish and build the station in 2013 with the support of the Boulder Creek Recreation and Parks District, who owns the FCC license. KBCZ currently has over 30 DJ's producing 100% original content and Tina is excited to help the station grow and continue to expand it's reach.

Observations on Israel's West Bank

Tom Helman retired five years ago from a career in social services, most recently after 20 years as the Assistant Director of the Community Action Board of Santa Cruz County. He first travelled to the Israel/Palestine area in 1981 and returned in May of 2018 with a delegation that included seven Congressional Aides. Traveling with the aides gave the delegation access to unique experiences. He will be sharing his observations of the time the delegation spent in the West Bank area. |

Third-generation County native and 25 year veteran of the Santa Cruz Sheriff's Office, Jim Hart currently serves as the Chief Deputy of the Administration Bureau. Jim attended Harbor High School and then went on to the University of Nevada-Reno on an athletic scholarship and graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. With integrity and attention to detail Jim has executed all aspects of project management including budgeting, scheduling, and managing resources. He currently helps manage the day-to-day operation of the Sheriff's Office, which has a $75 million budget, over 350 staff and is the largest mutual aid organization in the County. In his service with the Sheriff's Office he has proven to be a tenacious and dynamic leader. |

Sue is a California attorney and business consultant who settled in Vietnam in 1994. She has been instrumental in creating hundreds of jobs and exporting thousands of Vietnamese products. She graduated from Mills College and received her law degree from the University of Santa Clara. Sue was a Deputy District Attorney in Alameda County before entering private practice. From 1992 to 1993, she served as California's Chief Assistant Secretary of State, engaged with Asian trade delegations until her move to Asia in 1994. |

Superintendent San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District Laurie Bruton is Superintendent of the San Lorenzo Valley Unified School Disctrict. Prior to joining the district, she was assistant superintendent of human resources for Whittier City School District. Dr. Bruton has a masters degree in educational administration and a doctorate of education in organizational leadership. Most of her career was spent at Bear Valley Unified School District, serving as a teacher and principal at an elementary school, a high school principal, and assistant superintendent. |

Patrizia Materassi is originally from Brazil daughter of Italian Immigrants from Florence. She is a Land Use Consultant, and a Sustainability Strategist. For the last 15 she has been operating a home-based private practice - Sustainable Development & Planning. Patrizia has reviewed and approved thousands of local development projects, environmental reviews, updated City General Plans, and more. Recently specializing in certifying ADU (Accessory Dwelling Units) via the County Amnesty Program. She makes sure the projects are feasible to the developer/property owner and an asset to the community and to future generations. Patrizia has 2 young adult sons, Pierre and GianCarlo and her husband is Kim Shultz, a Trustee at the SV School District. She has a passion for environmental sustainability and wants to help reduce plastic pollution in the one big Ocean by working with schools all over the world. |

Lisa and her family have lived in Boulder Creek since 1990. After spending many years working in engineering management positions at high-technology companies she concluded her career as the Vice-president of Product Operations for startup Sonics, Inc. and retired in 2000 to explore a wide variety of new interests, broadly associated with Historic Preservation. She is the Volunteer Collections and Exhibitions Manager at the San Lorenzo Valley Museum and also volunteers at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View and at the Genealogy Room, Santa Cruz County Library. She is a member of the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History (MAH) Landmark Committee, the Santa Cruz MAH Publications Committee and is the communicator for Santa Cruz County Researchers Anonymous. She serves as the Corresponding Secretary on the board of the Genealogy Society of Santa Cruz County and also serves on their Acquisitions Committee. Her other interests include miniature model building, local archaeology and all forms of digital media development. She is a member of the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts (NAME). |

Max writes from his home in the Santa Cruz Mountains. He is a former columnist for the pioneering music magazine "CRAWDADDY! THE MAGAZINE OF ROCK." He has written extensively for the music industry, including magazine features, reviews, interviews, and books on music technology. Max also penned the popular Rush biography, "RUSH FAQ – ALL THAT'S LEFT TO KNOW ABOUT THE WORLD'S GREATEST CANADIAN PROG ROCK POWER TRIO." Max also plays guitar in the Santa Cruz-based bands Swordfight and Rockblock Weekend.
