10/24 - World Polio Day
On October 24, Rotary International will again mark World Polio Day. All Rotary Clubs are asked to raise awareness of the urgent need to End Polio Now. As of today, only 14 children have been paralyzed by the wild polio-virus in all of 2018. This wild virus still circulates in only one remaining area, on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
10/31/18 - Last Day to donate for HOT HOT Chili Pepper Challenge
All members have received an email from Nancie Allen, via David Zehnder, about the need for all Newark Rotarians to submit their donation before the end of the month to have their contribution matched.
If you are not able to make it to one of the next two meetings (10/23 & 10/31), you can donate on-line.
Here is how easy it is to donate online for Hot Hot Chili Pepper Challenge!
2) In the top right hand corner you will see DONATE. Click on DONATE and it will take you to the donation page.
3) In the middle of the page on the left hand side you will see a drop down that says - Designate a Charity.
4) Click on the down button and choose our charity - Second Chance Homeless Shelter and then hit donate
5) On the next screen you can then put in the amount you would like to donate and then choose to pay through PayPal or with a credit card - your choice.
Remember that our donation will support Second Chance - Shelter.
Please let Nancie Allen know if you have any questions about the Hot Hot Chili Pepper Challenge, or donating on-line.
