Melissa Santos, Community Solutions, Training Division Director

This presentation will look at Kaiser’s ACE Study and the correlation between early childhood trauma and negative health outcomes for adults.  It will provide an opportunity to understand  the effects of trauma as well as the protective factors that build resiliency.

Melissa Santos is the Training Division Director at Community Solutions, and a private consultant in leadership and organizational development.  She has nearly  20 years of experience in the mental health field, with a focus on families impacted by substance abuse and the criminal justice system. Melissa and her team have recently provided a Trauma-Informed Classroom training to all Morgan Hill Unified School District teachers as part of their professional development days. She is a resident of South County and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Edward Boss Prado Foundation.
