She attended San Jose State University for her bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Urban Planning. She joined the County of Santa Clara in 2011 working to promote healthy and sustainable communities through projects focused on policy, improving the built environment, and increasing equitable opportunities for physical activity and active transportation. Tonya is currently a Sustainability Analyst for the County of Santa Clara Office of Sustainability and brings a passion for active and sustainable communities, along with a background in public health and community engagement. |

Due to expected wet conditions, the Saturday, January 12th event will be Rescheduled. Please check back for a new date as when we will plant 43 Coast Live Oak trees on the property directly next to the CAL FIRE station. The City of Morgan Hill has partnered with and received a grant from CAL FIRE as part of the California Climate Investments Program to increase the tree canopy and provide environmental benefits to the City of Morgan Hill. Planting trees provides shade that cools our city and slows traffic while also producing healthy living conditions by cleaning the air we breathe and water we drink.
Saturday, January 12th
8:45 to noon Meet on sidewalk in front of CAL FIRE Station 15670 Monterey Rd. Morgan Hill, CA 95037 Tree leaders will be at the location to help all volunteers and oversee the event. Children are welcome! Please wear closed-toed shoes and appropriate planting attire. We will be planting rain or shine. Light refreshments will be served so don’t forget your water bottle. No planting experience is necessary and the holes will be predug.

He is currently a fellow at Stanford's Center for International Security and Cooperation and a nonresident Senior Fellow with the Brookings Institution. |

The car was donated by Rich Bergin and is being restored by the talented folks at On the Road Again Classics, but we are looking for interested folks to participate. No specific skills are necessary. Understanding the Mental Health Crisis and how your relationships can save you

Dr Christian Heim PhD, B. Med (Hons), is a clinical psychiatrist, public speaker and former lecturer in music. He is a also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. Christian has previously lectured in Australian Universities and a USA tertiary college and was on staff at Australian hospitals. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Sydney and is the 2014 recipient of the Newton-John award for innovation and creativity. Dr. Heim has heard the stories of thousands of people and speaks from a place of deep compassion. Dr Caroline Heim PhD is an Assistant Professor in theatre at Queensland University of Technology in Australia. She holds a PhD in Drama from The University of Queensland and is now writing her second book on actors and audiences. Her articles appear in international Tier 1 journals. Caroline was a theatre critic for The Australian in 2012-13. Before entering academia Caroline worked as a professional actor on New York stages winning a Drama League Award and receiving critical acclaim. Caroline is a certified Lifeline (crisis counselling organization) counsellor and facilitator. |

Kirti Bassendine was born in Kenya, raised in England, and has been linving in the US for the past 30-years. She obtained a BA Honors in Photography form the University of Derby, England. She has been a commercial and fine art photographer for the past 28 years. She has extensive experience in travel, commercial, fine art and social issue photography. She moved from Georgia to California four years agoe. Please come and listen to Kirti as she shares her passion for photography and about her projects that include "Immigrant Mothers and Daughters and reconnection with culture", "Ohlone Elders and Youth" and "Homeless Voices".
