We were impressed by youth leadership - -

The meeting was conducted by PVHS Interact Club co-president Belen Guerrero.

Jessie Case from UCSC writes, "Thank you so much for having us at the meeting today! We really appreciated all of the questions your members had for us about Rotaract. One of your members expressed interested in the organization UnChained, for more information, visit their website here: http://www.livingunchained.org/

Oliver Borg, finishing his year as District 5170 Youth Lt. Governor, spoke to the club about the various aspects of Rotary Youth Service including RYLA, Interact, Rotaract, the speech contest, and Rotary Youth Exchange.

And so you know, Felicia Davidson, also of the PVHS Interact Club spent last week visiting Brown University as their guest. She received a travel grant to be able to visit Brown University during their "A Day on College Hill" event. Felicia was also recognized as PVUSD student of the week (April 13 - 17). The American Red Cross of the Central Coast  honors local heroes whose actions exemplify the true spirit of heroism through their courage, dedication and character on May 13 and congratulations to our Felicia Davidson, the 2015 Youth Hero!

The Red Cross 2015 Heroes Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the historic Cocoanut Grove, on the shore of beautiful Monterey Bay and adjacent to the world famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The annual Red Cross Heroes Breakfast recognizes acts of heroism by local residents and pays tribute to those who have performed lifesaving deeds while supporting the local American Red Cross chapter’s lifesaving programs and emergency services.
