The Rotary Club of Freedom held the 2014 Holiday Dinner Party on Saturday, December 13 in the Agricultural History Building at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds. Freedom Rotarians and their guests brought toys to donate to the Santa Cruz Chapter of the American Red Cross. Patsy Gasca, Emergency Services Manager for the local Red Cross chapter and our club's Director of Community Service, informed us of how important these toys are when they're distributed to children relocated due to calamities like fire, flooding, earthquakes. A delicious dinner of turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes, salad, sliced bread, complemented by wine donated by Doug Feinsod was enjoyed by 35 members and their families at tables festively set by Marsha Nelsen.  The event was organized by John Skinner and the party featured our traditional fun gift exchange. President Vince Garcia welcomed everyone in attendance and wished one and all a joyous holiday season.
