Rose Sale

Each year we involve our newest members in our sweetest smelling fundraiser, THE ROTARY ROSE SALE, scheduled for March 16, 2022. This event allows you to jump into what makes Rotary fun...raising money...and then giving it away through our club’s charitable giving program. This is a relatively simple fundraiser and it is easy if we all pitch in and take a small role.

We purchase roses from a local wholesaler for about $9 a dozen after the peak Valentines season. We then sell them through members for $20 a dozen. Most years we sell between 700 to 900 dozen. Members reach out to their networks (neighbors, teachers, business associates, family etc.) to sell the roses. We also reach out to other Rotary clubs in the area. 

The roses will arrive on Wednesday, March 16th. The delivery will be made to the Commons (below the post office) in Excelsior where all of us will assemble the members' orders so they can drive up to get their roses for delivery.

There are some important tasks that need to be done:

·        Assist with event logistics on the ROSE PICK-UP DAY, March 16th.

·         Pick a local Rotary Club in the area to contact to sell/deliver roses

·         Make announcements during the PIG portion of our meetings to promote the sale
