ROTARY MEETING SCHEDULE
Wednesday, August 23 – Chucks
The August 23 meeting at Chucks will feature Hartford Police Officer Jim Barrett. He is the Department’s homeless outreach officer. Officer Barrett donates much of his extra-duty pay to provide support to the City’s homeless. His good work has been the subject of much positive press in the area. President Sue asked that we all bring some personal hygiene items to give to him. Additionally, we a looking into a restaurant fund-raiser to benefit his support of the homeless.
Monday, September 4 – no meeting Labor Day

Monday, October 2 – Vitos (Sue away)
Wednesday, October 18 – Chucks
Monday, November 6 – Vitos
Wednesday, November 22 – skip (day before Thanksgiving)
Monday, December 4 – Vitos
Wednesday, December 20 – Christmas Party – Sue’s
Monday January 8- Vitos

I am learning how to do a newsletter using various techniques and do not have the ability to work with text messages… If you have any questions contact me at the above number. Meeting of August 7, 2023…Frank lead the pledge and Sue provided the prayer.
$19 of Happy Thoughts were collected which brought the year-to-date total to $104.
The Board voted to reduce the annual dues to $175 bills with be out soon.
Grant money will be available for Special Ed in Wethersfield similar the to program we did last year in Hartford.
Tonight’s speaker was Michele Confessore, the local representative of Tastefully Simple. She talked about the foods and kitchen supplies that are available to be used as a fundraiser.
Attached is a flyer that allows club members and friends to order products as a fundraiser for our club.
