A fun day on the water and later at the MHC
On a beautiful September 7th late summer or early Fall day the 5th annual Rotary Fun Derby was held. Rotary Clubs from Campbell River and Courtenay were represented by boat skippers and fishers. The CR Daybreak Rotary Club continued its mastery of the event by winning the Club Trophy, yes you guessed it, for the 5th consecutive year. Largest salmon trophy was shared by Mark Tazumi and Ava Murdoch who tied with their catch weighing in at 16.25 lbs. The follow up barbecue at the Maritime Heritage Centre was great fun!!
Proceeds of the event this year go to The Stream keepers arm of the Greenways trust.
Thanks to all who organized and helped to make this year’s event another great success!!
Tight lines!!
