On Sunday November 13, 2016, the Rotary Club of Chicopee presented a donation of $1,500 to the St. Stanislaus Basilica Sandwich Ministry. The program was begun in 2010 by Deacon Joe Peters and Dick Johnston as a way to help the less fortunate people that live in the Chicopee Center area. The ministry serves 80 lunches every week and also organizes and distributes good used clothing including coats and new socks.
