This Week's Meeting: Eben Sumner, Casco Bay Hemp, "Cannabinoids - What they are, and benefits"
It’s been a long journey for Eben Sumner to find his calling as the founder of Casco Bay Hemp. He started his career in PR, providing essential outreach for non-profit organizations in Hawaii. Eventually, he moved back to his native Maine, and that’s where he found the benefits that CBD can offer for the health of the mind, body, and soul.

This Friday, Eben will discuss what cannabinoids are, where they come from, and how they differ. He will speak about the different markets and their complexities, and close with a discussion on the health benefits of cannabinoids.

Eben is the Founder and CEO of two businesses in the cannabis space, Casco Bay Hemp and 1780, a Maine Licensed Medical Cannabis Provider. He is the Co-Founder, President, and legislative chair of the Maine Growers Alliance, founding member of the Cannabis Council of Maine legislative consensus group, and participant in Seed2Health; a think tank focused on forwarding cannabis as medicine.Eben earned a BA Organizational Communications from St. Edwards University, Austin Texas, and MA International Political Economy from King's College, London, United Kingdom

ROTARY TURKEY TROOP: For 30+ years, Portland Rotary has prepared and served a hot Thanksgiving meal to those in need at St. Vincent De Paul. Managing the program this year was Nannette Ranger-Duncanson, a fine job indeed. Plenty of team support was needed in order to cook, plate and serve 110 meals plus another 10 taken out. Here are some photos of Portland Rotarians and friends at Work!
