Early Edition! No Meeting This Week - Happy New Year!
Club Participation Event This Friday!  "Flags For Heroes" Presentation - Portland Expo/Maine Celtics
As of Mon night, we have 30 volunteers and we need 5 more!
Halftime of the Maine Celtics game this Friday January  2nd, we're doing a 5 minute presentation of 25 flags plus 8 signs, showing off Portland Rotary in front of great crowd. We're asking Rotarians along with family members or friends to please join in!

Tickets are $13. Tom Talbott is purchasing the tickets and you pay him back. No worry about going online or to a portal to buy tickets. We have yellow "Rotarian At Work" T-shirts for $15, or you can borrow one for the event. Everyone looking good!

All Flag and Sign carriers need to meet at 3:45 at the Expo so we can practice our fancy footwork and hand out tickets. That finishes at 4:30 sharp. You can go back home, go shopping, go to dinner - game is at 7pm, just be back before halftime! We're close to our goal,we can do it!

Our Next Club Meeting: Friday January 9th
The first meeting of the new year will be January 9th at USM, Abromson Hall (connected to the parking garage). USM is offering a six-month parking pass (January–June 2026) for $25. If the meeting contract continues for the remainder of the year, a second six-month pass will be available. Alternatively, Rotarians may purchase $3 parking tickets per meeting. Meal options will rotate among three choices: a build-your-own salad bar, sandwiches, and a pizza party.  Look for a special email coming the week of the meeting with all the details spelled out clearly.

BITS AND PIECES
We Three Rings: Tom Ranello, Jim WIlley, and Bill Milliken rang the bells for the annual Salvation Army Kettle Drive with great pride, and early reports are that it was another very successful season. We'll get more information at the next meeting, including a curtain call for all those who volunteered their time for a good cause. Thank you!
