THIS WEEK'S SPEAKER: Gregg Frame, Tips To Avoid Litigation in Employment Matters
We welcome Gregg Frame, a founding member of Taylor, McCormack & Frame, LLC, practicing labor and employment law, business development, civil litigation, and mediation. Gregg' s topic is “Stay Out of Court: Tips for Business Owners to Avoid Litigation in Employment Matters.” Attorney Frame will highlight challenges in navigating state and federal employment laws and share best practices for compliance.
Gregg advises public and private entities on hiring, termination, compliance, union campaigns, and collective bargaining agreements. He represents employers, landowners, contractors, and individuals in state and federal courts, as well as before regulatory agencies. His work includes advising condo associations, landlords, and individuals in divorce proceedings.
He lives in Cape Elizabeth with his wife, Jill, and their children, Lillian and Jake. Outside the office, he enjoys golfing, reading, boating on Casco Bay, and traveling throughout Maine and beyond.

SOCIAL OUTING AT THE SEA DOGS: In lieu of a regular club meeting last Friday, a group of Rotarians headed over to Delta Dental / Hadlock Field to watch a Thursday matinee performance by the Portland Sea Dogs. Our hometown sluggers made it all worthwhile with an exciting bottom of the ninth win 3-2, over the Somerset Patriots. Great show!
LOBSTER RAFFLE: Attention Snappers! One of our biggest fundraising events is upon us. Final details are bring ironed out, but all indicators point to our first selling date of raffle tickets down by the cruise ships will be Thursday August 28th!
Last year we had 33 different Rotarians step up to help sell tickets. That's a good showing - and we congratulated Larry Gross for being the Golden Deely Bopper Winner for the most selling dates, pictured above from last year with Brian Nickerson, who had the 2nd highest number of selling dates. There is no question that we really need to grow the number of volunteers. 33 is good but we can spread the effort across a wider base of helpful Rotarians. The effort pays off in what we can do for our community with the money raised. If you can help, it is greatly appreciated! More lobster de-tails coming this meeting!
