This Week's Speaker: Curt Dale Clark - Maine State Music Theatre
Curt Dale Clark will be our speaker, providing a brief history of the dream that became Maine State Music Theatre and a sneak peek at 2025!
Born and raised in rural Pecatonica, Illinois and a graduate of the University of Illinois, Curt has degrees in Sales and Marketing, Speech Communications and Spanish. He is VP of Steven Dale Casting agency, President of White Glove Theatricals and the current Artistic Director of Maine State Music Theatre, the largest resident stock company in the U.S. Curt is a massive Chicago sports fan and an avid gardener and Christmas tree designer as well. Curt's theatrical accomplishments include over 1000 performances of Singing in the Rain as Don Lockwood, and over 600 performances of the Phantom as well as Harold Hill in The Music Man....He has performed nationally as The Beast in Beauty and The Beast, as Javert in Les Miserable and the UPS man in Legally Blonde just to name a few. Curt splits his time residing in both Lancaster PA and Brunswick Maine.

CIDER HOUSE RULES: Last Thursday's fellowship social event at the Freedom Edge Cider Tasting Room in Portland was a great success, with some 32 Rotarians, significant others, and friends attending. The Trivia Contest heated up, with three teams vying for the win. Ultimately Logan's Clan bested Team Dots and Team Mountain. Pizza was great, wonderful atmosphere, and photos were allowed to back that up!
RYLA SUMMIT: At the annual Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) Coordinator Summit on November 16, Portland Rotarians Jan Chapman, Dave Patterson, and Patty Byers joined with Jacey Chavez, RYLA Co-Director and Satellite Club member, along with last year's RYLA Directors and former Portland Club members, Emily Rumble and Sam Klemarszyk.

PICK UP YOUR CLYNK BAG: Bill Blount, aka Colonel Clynk has bags with prefixed labels so that recycled cans and bottles are credited to the our club. Funds generated will help supply heat for those in need of assistance.
YOUTH SERVICES: Laura Young asked all to sign up for Tuesday and Thursday time slots to read to students at area elementary schools, a program designed to support reading proficiency.
CALL FOR HEARING AIDS: Dr Roger Fagan has a supply of cardboard hearing aid recycling boxes, and asks you to take one and put it out in your business or in the community. Aids will be used to support the Rotary Hearing clinic in the Dominican Republic.
