Election of Officers Jan 10th 2025
On December 20, 2024, Dick Hall announced the nominating committee proposed slate of officers and opened the floor for additional nominations.
No nominations were offered from the floor. Therefore, the following slate of officers will be voted at the January 10, 2025 club meeting.
Board of Directors-two year term 7/1/2025-6/30/2027, Bill Millikin and Niki Curtis
Secretary, one year term 7/1/2025-6/30/2026 Juliana L'Heureux.
Sargeant at Arms, one year term 7/1/2025-6/30/2026 Zach Newell.

Arcadia, 504 Congress Street, Portland. The old Portland Music Hall has been transformed into a mecca of fun games, as well as drinks and food. From juices, ciders, beers and mixed drinks to pizza, variety of hot dogs, salads, and snacks, there is plenty to choose from. There are classic pinball, video and board games, so it should be a blast! Specific details on the start time are coming!
Thursday February 13th - Maine Celtics vs. Long Island Nets at the Portland Expo! The Celtics are the NBA G League affiliate of the Boston Celtics, and put on a great show! It is a 7pm game, and we'll plan on sitting together on the "Side Center". These are good seats that have back support, not bleacher seating! Tickets are $32, and you can certainly invite family and friends. At this Friday's meeting, we will start to have Sign-Up RSVP sheets on the tables, and follow up with emails. We need to put in our order for the number of tickets by February 3rd! Let's Go Celtics!
This week's speaker is Stephanie McFeeters, the deputy editor of The Maine Monitor, a nonpartisan, nonprofit news organization that publishes in-depth articles about Maine. She will discuss the digital newsroom's various coverage areas, from the environment to public health, and provide a behind-the-scenes look at how the journalism is reported and produced. Stephanie was previously the managing editor at Harper’s Magazine, and before that worked as a reporter in western MA. She grew up abroad as part of a Foreign Service family, studied government at Dartmouth College, and now lives in Portland's West End.
