Welcome 2017 Terry Fox Participants. The Rotary Club of North York is excited to once again organize and run the T.F.R. This year we will be able to post pictures of the T.F.R. on our website for you to view and download. If you desire a high res image, please email us with the photo number and we will be happy to email the photo/s to you. Check our site daily as we plan on posting the images within a few days of the TFR.

In order to save you time in finding your images, we will break them down into various folders. The first folder, “Pre Race Preparations, Parade Vehicles, Warm Up Exercises” is exactly as stated. You will see some of the early morning (starting at 6:00 A.M. while grass is still wet from morning dew) preparations being done by members of the Rotary Club of North York, and several “Friends of Rotary”, to get everything set up for the 9:00 A.M. start of the T.F.R.

We plan to have a couple of Classic Cars on hand (members of Thornhill Cruisers Car Club) There will also be a couple of great looking modern Motorcycles on hand. Same as last year, we plan on having Aerial  114 from Toronto Fire Station 114 as the Lead vehicle for our Parade.  I have been assured that we will have a Fire Truck and Fire Crew on hand (as long as they are not needed on a fire call).

The remaining folders will be set up to show approximate time in crossing the finish line. Most folders will be in 15 minute time frames, depending on number of finishers crossing the line at the time. Usually the last folder will cover more time since the number of participants has decreased.

We plan on issuing all participants a small card with our site information and your approximate finish time. If your time shows as “ 10:02” you may find some of your pictures in folder “ 9-45 to 10-00” and also look in folder “10:01 to 10-15” Take a look at the first folder, “Pre Race etc….”  you may see a few pictures of yourself doing warm up exercises, or admiring the parade vehicles.

Thanks again for participating in the 2017 Terry Fox Run/Walk. Please find your pictures and be sure to share our Rotary Club of North York site with others. You may download these images to share with others. If you would like a High Res. image, please email me at novelties@glionna.ca and I will send you the desired image/s.
