We are thrilled that our Terry Fox Event was even more successful than last year's! According to Terry Fox Chair, Stanley Rapkin, more people ran at our location #3325, and we collected more money! We anticipate final numbers at over $17,000.00!

Thank you to all our members and friends who volunteered. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Special thanks goes to David Sammut, from Motor Home Travel Canada Inc. David is a member of the Rotary Club of Bolton, and he donates the use of a motor home every year to our club for OUR Terry Fox event. WOW!

Thank you to Ruth Shernofsky and Susan Katz, both cancer survivors, who told their stories to the runners. They remind us all how our research dollars contribute to the end of cancer in our lifetime.

Photographer Extraordinaire, member Paul Glionna, took pictures of all the finishers, and is posting them online so that everyone will have a photo to commemorate their walk. Great job Paul!

Our Pat Giglio and his wife Patricia manned the fresh fruit and drink station and catered a pasta lunch for all our volunteers. Thank you Pat & Pat.

Zac Adama, our newest Rotary member and Webmaster, is posting the event on our Rotary North York website.

Dr. John manned the first aid station, and only had to apply 1 bandage.

9-year-old Waylon Rapkin,  grandson of our member Stanley Rapkin, walked along Yonge Street all Sunday morning collecting cash donations for Terry Fox. We are proud to say that Waylon collected $400.00 all by himself! Unbelieveable!

Waylon’s sister, Harper Rapkin, and her grandmother Gail applied tattoos and sold all our supply of Terry Fox T-shirts!

This year, we met so many newcomers to Canada, who didn’t know about Terry Fox. We are so happy to report that many of them donated money, and brought their children to participate on Sunday.

Fabulous weather contributed to a wonderful day.

We are getting ready for next year’s run. Think you can help? Speak to Stanley Rapkin, Terry Fox Chair (416)617-7653.
