ATI Physical Therapy and the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor North are proud to present the first annual Phil Zepeda Invitational Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 30 at the Polo Fields Golf and Country Clubs, 2955 Packard Road, Ypsilanti.  The Martin Family Foundation has graciously agreed to sponsor the luncheon and the dinner is sponsored by Phil Zepeda of Raymond James and Jeff Crause of Edward Jones.

Registration for the event opens at 8:00 am with a shotgun start at 9:00 am and includes 18 holes of golf with a hot dog, chips and soft drink at the turn. The steak dinner honoring Phil Zepeda takes place at approximately 2:00 pm and individual dinner tickets are available for $45 per person. Fun and fellowship also includes great prizes and a 50/50 raffle and your donations of gifts and services are welcomed and appreciated.

Fees are $100 per player with a package deal of $500 for your team of four and a hole sponsorship - a savings of $50. In addition, there is an Earl Bird Special - all registrations and payments received by April 30 will automatically be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card to Miles of Golf in Ann Arbor.

How do you plan a space party? You planet!  Sorry...I couldn't resist that one.

Thank you to each and every of our members who volunteered their time, shared their talent, treasure and invited friends and family to attend this year's FUNdraiser "Lost in Space" on March 28. We danced, we dined, and partied with a purpose: at the end of the evening we raised just a smidge over $10,000 to fund our community and international projects for 2015 - 16.

I would like to thank our sponsors:  Jeff Crause of Edward Jones, Abbey Park at Mill River, Rick and Elizabeth Jarzembowski, Gordon and Virginia Nordby,Gail Scott, the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor West, and Manish and Varsha Mehta. We raised a total of $7,300 through sponsorship this year.

Thank you to each member who sold those little blue tickets. We sold 269 of our 300 and first place winner Mary Clock graciously donated $750 of her $1,500 cash prize back to our club.

Pick-Your-Prize: Thank you to our generous members who have contributed to our Pick Your Prize raffle and to Brigitte Romero, Peg Windsor and Laura VanSteenis for coordinating the prizes, presentation and raffle drawings. We had just over $3000 of gifts on the table and at the average silent auction could expect a yield of $1500. We raised a little less than that (about $1100) but for a first time attempt, that's not bad.

Thank you to Skyline Interact for selling the Pick Your Prize tickets and Heads or Tails beads and for generally having way too much fun in the photo booth and reminding me how great it is to be 17 and hang out with your friends and without your mother. Thank you to Caitlyn VanSteenis for being a fearless Bingo caller.

Delicious edibles for the chocolate fountain were donated by Mario and Brigitte Romero and Gordon Food Service. The fountain was sponsored by Manish and Varsha Mehta.

Thank you to our table captains, John Copeland, Matt Copeland, Jeff Crause, Manish Mehta and Scott Nelson for bringing your friends and family to the event. We truly appreciate your support and sincerely hope that your guests enjoyed the evening.

Thank you to Light Source, Inc. for the lighting and effects, to Memory Maker Photos and Celebration DJs and to John Ward for the "Beam Me Up, Bessie" centerpieces. Any party planner will tell you that as authors of the evening's memories, photographs are essential and I am very grateful to Mike McManus for capturing the event for posterity. Jet Whiting from Cross and Resurrection Church designed the programs for the evening and they were beautiful.

Finally, this event would not have happened without the hard work of some truly wonderful people: Lisa Hudy, Tammy and Don Broderick, Matt Copeland, Bryan Schindel, Stephanie Oliver and Keith Krings and Mary Clock. I am very grateful to Laura VanSteenis for listening to me vent, gripe, worry and fret for six weeks and also for her tireless support on the evening of the event and through my subsequent post-party depression.

This science project would not be complete without a multiple choice test. You are A) a peach, B) the Bee's Knees, C) the Cat's Pajamas but really y'all are D) All of the Above. Thanks for your generous support and I know that Bryan will put the funds raised to good use next year.
