Stories
You are cordially invited to a very special event honoring the District's newest Major Donor, Bruce Dunbar from the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor West.  The program will take place on Monday, March 23 at 6:15 at the Quarter Bistro in Ann Arbor.

In addition to the donor presentation, the West Rotarians have also planned a dynamic Foundation presentation that will showcase the application of Foundation grants locally and globally. If you are considering joining the ranks of fellow Rotarians who have made the commitment to become major donors, would like to know more about the opportunity or would like to introduce a friend or family member to the idea, we hope that you will join us for this evening.  For more information, please contact Ann Arbor West President Raj Bazaj at rbazaj@gmail.com.
Assignments for March 5:  Greeter - Phil Zepeda; 50/50 - Utibe Effiong; B.A.B.Es - Laura Van Steenis

Assignments for March 12:  Greeter - Virginia Nordby ; 50/50 - Keith Krings; B.A.B.Es - Tammy Broderick

God and angels don't get paid even though theirs is some of the most important work around. Ditto for volunteers. ~ Cherishe Archer

Rotarian Manish Mehta has nominated Sarab Atal for membership in the Club. Sarab is a resident of Ann Arbor Twp, has supported several years' club fundraising events with his wife, and now wants to join RCAAN. He is an engineering manager/management consultant with a UM MBA degree. His nomination was announced on February 26 which officially opened the opportunity for member comment until March 10. At that time the board will take a formal vote and we hope to induct Sarab at the March 12 or March 19 meeting.
Thanks to all who attended Monday evening's fourth organizational meeting for our Lost in Space FUNdraiser. The party is just 25 days away - the countdown is on!

Here's a brief status update as of March 3:

Your support here would be greatly appreciated!  Please contact Peg Windsor or Brigitte Romero if you have a prize to add to our Pick Your Prize table. ALSO - we are in need of a chair for this area. Peggy and Brigitte have graciously volunteered to assist with this portion of the evening but a lead person to coordinate all of the details would be appreciated.

The committee meets again on Monday, March 9 at 6:00 pm at the Applebee's on Green Road. Please remember that we're opening up the committee to friends and family who like to plan parties. So that I can plan for your attendance, please email tamra.ward1@gmail.com

STARDATE 28 MARCH 2015: You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension - a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You are about to boldly go where no Rotarian has gone before - to Space, the final frontier.

Yeah, I mixed up about five different television shows there but the end result is the same: you are invited to embrace your inner nerd, climb into your space cadet uniform and get LOST IN SPACE at our annual FUNdraiser on Saturday, March 28, 2015.

PLEASE mark your calendars, save the date and invite your friends and family to join us for this year's wild and crazy night of fun and fellowship.

We're pleased to announce that the First Annual Phil Zepeda Invitational will take place on Saturday, May 30, 9:00 am at the Washtenaw Course at the Polo Fields in Ypsilanti. That's only 109 days away! Thanks to Chairs Matt Copeland and Keith Krings for chairing this event which promises to be a day full of fun, fellowship and an exciting new fundraiser for our club.
