As the year comes to an end, our thoughts turn graciously to all of you who made our success possible this year.
Beacon Of Hope Award
On November 14, 2023, during Diane Donaher's visit. She presented the Beacon of Hope Award to Gordon Summers.
Gordon recently attained Major Donor staus for the Rotary International Foundation.
Beacon of Hope is our district theme for 2023-2024.
Gordon was honored for his many years of service. At 58 years of age, he was the first minister at the Moravian Church to be sworn in as President of the National Council of Churches. That council focused on social advocacy, public policy issues, and education. About 80% of it's budget went to refugee assistance oversees, which today supports our International Presidents Gordon R. McInally's theme Create Hope in The World. Gordon continues to model Service above Self at 88 years of age!
The Nazareth Rotary joined the local Boy Scouts in collecting food for the Nazareth Food Bank.
Rotary members weighed food as it was delivered by local troops.
13,011 lbs. of food was collecting in one day!

Michelle S Machado recently pinned with her level I- Paul Harris by DG Diane Donaher on November 14, 2023. This award reflects Michelle's modeling of Service Above Self at The Greater Valley YMCA- Nazareth Branch, as their Senior Program Director. Michelle models on a daily basis our district theme. "At the Y, people come in with pain from arthritis, loss of loved ones, and weakening body frame and leaving with a BIG smile on their face, renewed".
