Four-Way Test Breakfast

Harleysville Rotary held it's annual Four-Way Test Breakfast on Wednesday, May 24th at the Arbor Conference Center at the Peter Becker Community. This year's honoree was the late E. Richard Aichele who was a humanitarian, family man, businessman,  and long time Rotarian.  Mr. Aichele helped found the Harleysville Rotary Club when he was a member of the Souderton-Telford Rotary and he never left his new Rotary home. His wealth of knowledge about all things Rotary was a major factor in the success of the Harleysville Club. He held many positions in the club including Club President and he served as treasurer for both the Rotary District 7430 and Harleysville Rotary.

He was above all else,  a humanitarian that always cared for his fellow man no matter what position he held in any organization. He often volunteered for mission work both domestically and internationally and still found time to be an officer in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Rich Aichele exemplified the Rotary motto of Service Above Self. This was attested to by his brother Bill Aichele and his daughter Kristen (shown above) who both spoke at the breakfast. A plaque was presented posthumously to the family on his behalf.
