Commissioner Gale Addresses Harleysville Rotary
Montgomery County Commissioner, Joseph C. Gale, addressed the Harleysville Club on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Commissioner Gale explained how he first learned of Rotary when he was in the 4th grade and won a Rotary sponsored speech contest on government. This sparked his interest in political science and by the age of 26 he had became the youngest member of the Board of Commissioners in Montgomery County. He explained the basic functions of county government and the very diverse physical and demographic makeup of Montgomery County. He talked about the need for more skilled workers and the need for getting multiple bids on significant county projects. His last comments were concerns for revitalizing the county seat and driving more commerce in that direction to compete with King of Prussia. We thank Commissioner Gale for his philosophy of bringing common sense and character to government.
