SEP 27, 2021 PRESIDENT BARIANA
Happy last week of September! It's hard to believe we have reached autumn so quickly.

As a reminder, please RSVP today to Val Walk at valerie.walk@rcn.com for the September 30th meeting. We are asking for responses to keep our food costs down and to ensure that enough food has been ordered for live meetings.

We have resumed volunteer responsibilities for the live meetings. Job duties include set up/breakdown, greeter, sergeant-at-arms, $2/week, 50/50, invocation and guest introductions. Please contact Ron Searfoss at rsearfos@ptd.net with the date and job that you would like to fill. If you are signed up for a job duty, we ask that you arrive at the Flatiron building at 7AM for the morning meeting.

If you see a new face visiting one of our meetings, please take a moment to introduce yourself and welcome our guests. In the next few months, we may see more new faces as members of the Saucon Valley Rotary Club have been invited to attend Bethlehem Morning Star meetings.

At our Club Assembly via zoom last week, we brainstormed ideas to help revitalize finances so we can continue to help our community. Many great ideas were mentioned, including a cornhole tournament, online auction, polar golf, calendar raffle, purse bingo, duck race, trivia night, breakfast with Santa, wine tasting, beer tasting, tricky tray auction, casino night, online game of chance, cow bingo, mobile shredding event and St. Paddy's Day race. As well as the need for event ideas, we greatly need our members to step up and take charge for the events to become successful. Be on the lookout for an email from me in early October regarding the above mentioned events and a survey poll to our Club members.

Yours in Rotary,

Shawn Bariana
President (2021-22)

SEP 30, 2021 RICHARD SANTEE NORTHAMPTON COUNTY

If you have not already, we strongly request that you RSVP to Val Walk if you plan to attend. This RSVP will help us determine the amount of food needed and to better control Club finances. This is a soft RSVP, so if your plans change, you are not barred from attending if you did not reply, nor will you be charged if you cannot attend after replying.

Again, please RSVP by replying to me from this email if you plan to attend. No response is necessary if you will not be there.

The Game of Rent is a teaching tool disguised as a board game, designed to help communities have more productive conversations about affordable housing.
