Metered street parking is available on Broadway and on 4th Street. Meters begin at 8AM. Additional parking is available in the tenant parking lot along 4th & Wyandotte Streets and the Cathedral Church parking lot.
Another Rotary begins and I am honored to serve for another year. I want to thank all the past presidents who were able to join us for the (sort of) kick out celebration. I would also like to thank all the incoming officers and look forward to working with you.
The two biggest priorities for Bethlehem Morning Star in the coming year are membership and fundraising. Our membership has remained nearly constant since we merged with the Saucon Valley club. In an era in which many organizations are struggling with getting people to participate, we need to highlight the idea that Rotary is more than just the individual member, more than the club or district, but is an international organization that is doing valuable work in the world. Our seven areas of focus are broad, but vital to the world and should interest many people. The work we do at the local level for the homeless, veterans, youth, and education are vital for building up the community we live in.
In the area of fundraising, it was a difficult decision, but we decided to discontinue the spaghetti dinner. With COVID reducing the number of runners and the increasing costs associated with the services from the City of Bethlehem, the Celtic Classic 5k has become more challenging for us. The board feels that this event should not be set aside but look for ways that we may be able to increase participation in the event to the pre-COVID number of runners. And besides, where else can you run five kilometers in a kilt? The Salute the Troops Concert continues to be a major event, and we look forward to hearing the Allentown Band and the student musicians play for us again.

Zelle. Several members requested a way to pay electronically without a fee. The club now has Zelle; send the amount to ID jean.searfoss@gmail.com , and identify yourself please.
Your prompt cooperation will be appreciated. The club will pay Rotary International and Rotary District 7430 in July, and active members as of 6/30/25 are in the headcount for those invoices to the club.
