The current Rotary year has been quite different. Meetings continue to be conducted via Zoom, and personal contact with each other has been limited as we adjust to life during a pandemic. Despite the pandemic, the work of Rotary and Rotary Foundation continues on. Our club has always been a strong supporter of Rotary Foundation. This year, we have not collected $2 per week or been making regular announcements concerning the Foundation. As the current Rotary year comes to a close, the Foundation Committee asks that you make a minimum $100 contribution to the Foundation. We all saved money on breakfast meetings, why not make a contribution to the Foundation with those savings? Also, money contributed during the 2020-21 Rotary year will be returned to the District in three years to distribute grants. Our former member and President Diane Donaher will be District Governor in 2023-24 when these funds are made available.
Ways to donate:
Mail a check payable to The Rotary Foundation to Tom Hartzell 1341 Biafore Avenue Bethlehem PA 18017. Checks should be received by Tom no later than June 15.
Donate on-line at the Rotary Foundation.
Rotary Direct allows you to make regular contributions to Foundation on a monthly or quarterly basis.
If you have already donated to The Rotary Foundation since July 1, 2020, we thank you. If not, we would appreciate your consideration of donating to The Rotary Foundation before the end of June.
At the Morning Star Rotary Club meeting of May 20, 2021, with 21 members present, Tom Kolepp made a motion to accept by acclimation, the proposed Slate of Officers (see below). Marianne Aronson seconded the motion. Voting was opened up, via email for those who could not attend the meeting. By a vote of 28 "ayes" and zero "nays" the motion passed.
Congratulations and Thank You to Rotary Club of Bethlehem Morning Star's 2021-2022 Club Officers!!
