JUL 14, 2020 PRESIDENT ROD
IMAGINE ROTARY 2022-2023

“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as your president this coming Rotary year.  I realize that it is a huge responsibility and I hope that I can perform the duties of the office in a way that makes all of our club members proud to be Morning Star Rotarians and that everything we do meets the tenets of the Four-Way Test.  Please view the IMAGINE ROTARY from last week’s meeting to preview my/our goals and initiatives for the upcoming year.  I believe that we have accomplished much in the past few years considering the obstacles that the pandemic placed on us. We need to continue to work on our many ongoing projects, fundraisers, and initiatives and IMAGINE new ones.  I always told my teachers that “change is only welcomed by a baby with a dirty diaper”; however, change is important if we wish to grow as Rotarians and better accomplish our goals to assist our communities and help those who need our help the most.  Businesses that don’t change with the times and adjust their practices do not succeed.  Rotary is an organization that I believe does stay up with times and circumstances in the world to change and adapt as needed.  For us as a club to succeed, we need the efforts of all of our members with their varied experiences and talents.  Your input, opinions, and ideas will be extremely important for the club's success!  Don’t be a RINO (Rotarian in Name Only).  “IMAGINE”! With everyone’s participation, working together, we can meet our goals to serve our community and the world.  Let’s make 2022-2023 a fantastic year for Bethlehem Morning Star Rotary Club!

PRESIDENT ROD
JUL 14, 2022 CONGRATULATIONS PHF'S

JUN 30, 2022 MSR DUES REMINDER
Dues Were Due June 30

Morning Star Rotary’s annual dues are $200 per year (or $100 per half year). Treasurer Val Walk emailed the 2022-23 Dues Notices shortly after Memorial Day. The Rotary year starts on July 1, and club Dues are due on June 30 so we may pay Rotary International and District 7430 their portions on a timely basis.

Thank you to all our members who have already submitted payment! Checks received in June are being deposited this week.

If you have not yet paid, please give your check to Treasurer Jean Searfoss, or mail it to her at 1409 Bogie Ave., Wescosville, PA 18106.

Alternative: you can pay with a credit card via a link on our website - under Site Pages on the left side of our home page, click Pay Dues Online Here. Note: A small fee is added to cover the processing costs we are charged.

If you need another copy of the notice, please contact jsearfoss@cementemployers.com.

Your prompt cooperation will reduce the follow-up time needed, and be much appreciated. Please be "fair to all concerned" - we need to pay Rotary International in July. Thank you!

#WRWRotary President Carolyne Jordan shared information about youth engagement opportunities with the students at Rotary #District7430 STEM YEA program launch today. This academy was developed for students from schools in Montgomery, Bucks, Berks, Lehigh, and Northampton Counties to explore, experiment, and engage in new exciting subject areas to ignite their imaginations and enthusiasm to learn. The curriculum focuses on “Astrobiology – Search for Life on Mars” developed with the SETI Education Staff and Albright SRI Educators. The Academy is part of the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) organized by Rotarians that provide intensive leadership experience to develop skills for youth as a leader while having fun and making connections. #STEMYEA #PeopleOfAction #stemeducation

MSR President Rod Seifert congratulates Isaiah, our club’s sponsored student to the Rotary District 7430 STEM-Youth Explorer Academy.
