We have been informed of the passing today of Morning Star Rotarian, Ben Tenaglia III (see e-mail below). Our thoughts and prayers are with Ben’s family at this sad time. I will forward any additional information as it is received.

It is with much sadness that I send this note to inform you of Ben's passing which took place early today. As his health was rapidly declining, I moved him to assisted living in Massachusetts on December 15th. On December 29th he suffered a cardiac event and a week later a stroke. Ben was proud to be a third generation rotarian following our grandfather and father. I was blessed to be in attendance when he was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow. He cherished his membership and the many friends and relationships he developed over the years through the Morning Star Chapter. I know he will be smiling down at your call to order, Pledge of Allegiance, and recitation of the Four-Way Test. With profound admiration and appreciation, Andy
On Wednesday, January 18, 2023 we will conduct a joint meeting with the Rotary Club of Bethlehem. There will be no regular club meeting on Thursday, January 19th. The joint meeting will be held in the Cohen Room at the Bethlehem Area Public Library on Church Street beginning at 5:30 PM. Voracious Deli will be catering this event the menu/order form for the evening is below. I hope many of our members will be able to attend this meeting. Agenda details will be forwarded as soon as they are finalized.

Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering - Thank you Rotarians - and more...
Our first night at the shelter this season was Friday 1/6/23. We served 60 guests a delicious dinner of lasagna, veggies, and brownies, and packed breakfasts to-go bags.
Thanks to Lynn Milet, once again, for ordering and delivering delicious food from Voracious Deli, and to Bill Hunter, Susan Burnett, Janet Kolepp, and Holly Sachdev for serving and Tom Kolepp, our resident pro for dishwashing.
Mike Long and Marianne Aronson stepped up to monitor the showers after a last minute cancellation.
Two more items: Our next night at the shelter is Friday 2/10/23. Thanks to all who volunteered at the party Saturday night. At this time, we still need 2 more in the kitchen. If you can't make it on 2/10, our third night at the shelter will be Monday 3/20/2023. Please let me know if you want to join our merry crew.
Finally, Tuesday night, January 10 there will be a BES fundraiser at Martellucci's Pizza at 1419 Easton Avenue, Bethlehem. Don't forget to mention BES. More info is at BethlehemEmergencySheltering.org.
