PRESIDENT'S  MESSAGE 9-18-18
I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand. ~Confuscios

Rotarians. That's what we are about - doing. We get it. We understand that the work of Rotary brings understanding and peace to those we serve .... and to ourselves.

There are numerous MSR opportunities this fall to "do it" - Celtic Classic 5k, Dictionary Project, Purple Pinkie Lehigh Valley, Janet Sipple Lecture & Why Zero Matters Dinner and Salute the Troops Concert.

So as Nike says " Just do it!"

YIRS,
Plan-it Janet

You don’t need to run to participate.  Most people walk!  It will be a fun event.  Bring your family and friends.  We will have awards for the race winners and also many drawings for door prizes, so both runners and walkers will be winners.  We will also have great food!  We will have members of the Pennsylvania Polio Survivors Network at both events to talk to participants about their experiences with polio.
Sign up Early to avoid the Cost Increase: The cost to participate is $25 ($15 if 17 and under) (includes tech T-shirt) before Sep 20.  After September 20 and on race day, the cost is $35 ($25 if 17 and under) (tech T-shirt only while supplies last).  Come on out and have a great time for a great cause!
Ask Others to Sponsor You: Help us raise much more money for Polio Plus by asking Rotarians and friends who can't attend to sponsor you.  Sponsor sheets and details are available on the Purple Pinkie website.  Any Rotarian that sponsors a runner/walker will get credit towards their Paul Harris.
Special prize basket for largest group running or walking together: Interact Clubs, Rotary Clubs, families, other organizations, sports teams.  If you have the largest number of folks walking or running in either Purple Pinkie event, you will receive a special prize basket for all to share!  Those who walk or run together will eliminate Polio together!

MSR RACE COMMITTEE MEETING SEPTEMBER 20,  7 AM ALL INVITED!!!
Morning Star Rotarians,

The 28th Year of our Morning Star Celtic Classic 5K Run/Walk on September 29 is just around the corner.
Your support is critical in three ways:
1. Help increase the total funds raised and donated
2. Help cover expenses such as race day set-up materials, promotional materials, runners' awards, food and so on.
3. Help provide raffle prizes for the runners/walkers, which increases the fun had by all and encourages more runners to attend.

Sponsorship Opportunities and Raffle Prize Donations Drive forms are available in the Download section of our website.
You can also use the link www.MorningStar5k.com to reach the information.

Thank you for your help and support in making this the best year ever!

Thank you for making a difference.

Dear Rotarian,

Your donation to The Rotary Foundation helped us raise more than $414 million last Rotary year. Rotarians are hard at work providing opportunities for communities that need our help most. That means more clean water, less disease, and hope for a peaceful world.

Thank you Ron for your continued support of The Rotary Foundation.

Sincerely,
The Rotary Foundation
