GIVING TUESDAY

Our Rotary District Foundation Committee is raising funds and awareness for The Rotary Foundation by designating Tuesday November 19 as Giving Tuesday.

This global day of generosity is an opportunity for all members to make a big impact with a gift of any size. A donation to Annual Fund-SHARE supports projects you’re passionate about, both in your community and around the world. A gift to PolioPlus helps transport vaccines and immunize children to keep them safe.

You can contribute using the District website which includes a contribution link.  If needed, our District Number is 7430 and Club Number is 26727.  Your individual member number is shown on your copy of Rotary magazine or you can contact Tom Hartzell (thartzell714@gmail.com).
LEHIGHVALLEYNEWS.COM

Our speaker at our November 14, 2024 weekly meeting was Jim Deegan, Executive Editor of LehighValleyNews.com.  LehighValleyNews.com is the non-profit digital news division of Lehigh Valley Public Media, which includes PBS Channel 39 and WLVR  91.3 National Public Radio.  Jim gave us an overview of his career in journalism along with the inception and structure of LehighValleyNews.com digital on-line news reporting.  Jim Deegan has lived in the Lehigh Valley for more than 25 years and has worked as a reporter, producer and editor during his long career in journalism.

STT CONCERT SPONSORS
"SALUTE THE TROOPS" TICKET MONEY

We would like to give a big MSR thank you to all of our "Salute the Troops" Concert supporters.  The leadership is trying to finish the final finance reports from the concert so that the Board of Directors at its December meeting can determine the amount of this year's grant to Victory House.  A brief reminder to all MSR members....any members who need to submit ticket money should mail a check to our MSR Treasurer, Jean Searfoss at 1409 Bogie Ave., Allentown, PA 18106.  Our hope is that all members will pay for their ticket allotment so that our annual grant to support Victory House can be as generous as possible.
