It's beginning to look a lot like...well, December! Hannukah started today; Christmas is coming, and then Kwanzaa will be celebrated too!
We are looking forward to having the a capella choir from Liberty join us again next week for our breakfast meeting. Warm up your voices, and we'll see what Maestro Santee comes up with this year.
Speaking of the holidays, thanks to everyone who was out over the last two weekends ringing the bell for the Salvation Army! (See recap below)
Last night we had a terrific crowd who had their dinners at the Texas Roadhouse Morning Star Rotary Fundraiser; Santa joined us, and we will be benefitting from 10% of the proceeds of all who dined and mentioned our Rotary club. Shout out to Josh Mrozinski for putting it all together! While I was there I saw Butch and Susie Macri, John and Carrie Oesmann, Janet and Tom Kolepp, Kathleen Sullivan and her two children Eric and Chris, Sharon Fontana, Jean and Ron Searfoss, Ron and Elena Helmuth, Diane and Dean Donaher, Sarabel and Rodney Conn and I'm sure I missed a few!
Tomorrow night is our board meeting; minutes and the agenda will be distributed later this evening.
Thursday morning is a special program:
We will be welcoming Herb Klotz, District Membership Chair and District Governor Nominee, who will be speaking to us about Membership - Our Future! and something we're having a lot of success with these last few months!
We will be inducting our newest member, Karen Achey, wife of Wayne.
At our inaugural ceremony, we will welcome our friends from the Nurse/Family Partnership, including our own Janet Sipple, Tiffany Grabinski, Tina Weeder, Kelly Burke. A very special person who had a unique connection to our dear Audrey Rafferty, will receive the Audrey Rafferty Memorial Scholarship.
