MSR CELEBRATES THE HOLIDAYS

Our holiday meeting is one of the most wonderful times of the year because the Liberty High School a cappella choir visits. This year they were accompanied by the Grenadier Band - Bethlehem Area School District and, to make the morning even more special, the musical magnificence of our very own Rick Santee on the accordion.

From Victory House:

“Today was a very special day! Morning Star Rotary of Bethlehem invited us out to present us with a $10,000 check to help support our Mission. We also got to enjoy a Christmas concert put on by the choir of Liberty High School Bethlehem PA. We at Victory House are very thankful for all the continuous support by the Morning Star Rotary of Bethlehem.”

BETHLEHEM EMERGENCY SHELTERING

Morning Star Rotary will be working at the Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering on three evenings during the coming winter months. If you are able to assist with this important project, please contact Ginny Wolkoff at ginny4wolkoff@gmail.com for available dates. We will need servers, dish washers, and people to monitor the showers. The Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering is located at Christ Church UCC at 75 E Market Street, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania 18018

MSR "BE THE GOOD" FUND 2.0

Dear Friends and Supporters,

The Women of Action team of Rotary volunteers will be returning to Kenya on our 2nd humanitarian trip January 28th for two weeks. The team will be reviewing the progress of The Rotary Foundation Global Grant at the Ngaremara Dispensary and exploring Phase II options of the project.

As part of this trip we will also be conducting additional service projects including a menstrual health project at the Ngaremara Girls Secondary School. Many of the girls that attend this school live in the area served by the dispensary. This project will begin to create an environment where girls feel supported during their menstrual cycle so they can attend classes and not miss out on their education. The project will include both distributing sanitary pads and basic education in menstrual hygiene. We hope that you will join us in supporting this project by donating to our Be The Good Fund 2.0.
