PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Summer may be winding down, but Rotary is just getting started!

Club secretary Deirdre Cordero Marino, the Grant Committee's Anne Frank, and I recently met with our new partners at Stone and Key, who will be supplying us with wine (and cider!) for our fall fundraising efforts. Taste testing is thirsty work, but we soldiered through it! 

Our work isn't done, though! With Fall Fest, First Friday, and Oktoberfest on the horizon, we’ll need all hands on deck to make them a success. Aren't available? consider signing up for the Horsham Rotary's 5K Race Back to Zero. (Don't want to run? No problem! Join me for a "wog” – a walk/jog!)

Together, we can raise the funds that support our local organizations and strengthen our community. Thank you in advance for stepping up and showing what our Rotary family is all about.

INVESTING IN TOMORROW'S LEADERS!

Ambler Rotary was proud to sponsor some amazing students in Rotary youth programs this summer!

Samantha Champagne and Evan Pepe (top picture), both seniors at Upper Dublin High School, attended Camp Neidig. They joined us at a recent club meeting to share their favorite moments, the friendships they made, and how the camp helped them grow as leaders. In addition to these two students, Ambler Rotary also sponsored Upper Dublin's Isabelle Fishman, Jimin Park,  and Sandra Taylor and Wissahickon High's Dalton Samuel.

Patrick Dargonmin (bottom picture), an 8th grader at Wissahickon Middle School, took part in the STEM YEA! Camp, diving into hands-on science and tech projects. He wowed us at lunch with stories about his experience and how it sparked his interest in STEM.

DISTRICT GOVERNOR VISIT Wednesday, September 3rd Join us for this special meeting as we hear from District Governor Mary Cook about Rotary’s vision and the exciting year ahead. Guests are warmly invited to attend!

LOWER GWYNEDD FALL FEST September 13th, 12pm-6pm Rotary is joining the fun at the Lower Gwynedd Fall Fest!  Will be serving up local craft beers from Well Crafted and spreading the word about rotary!

ROTARY SPOTLIGHTS

• Shout out to Linda Gerhard (and Gerhard's Appliances!) for putting together last month's Happy Hour softball tournament, which raised over $700 (and food!) for the pantry at St. Peter's Episcopal in Glenside.  No word yet on whether Linda is being called up to the majors!

• Shout out to Lynn Smith for her amazing work volunteering for the STEM YEA! Camp, which hosted students from across five counties! 

• Shout out to Anne Frank and the Grant Committee for securing a $5,000 District Grant to renovate the Children’s Room at the Main Library so the space can be used to its fullest potential!

• Shout out to Matthew D'Emilio, for his work securing the permits we need for both for the Fall Fest & Oktoberfest. Thank you Matt!
