Happy New Year, Rotarians! As we head into 2026, we’re looking forward to an exciting start to the year with great events planned that bring together service, connection, and fun. We can’t do it without the support and involvement of our members, so thank you for all you do to keep our club strong and active.

LET THERE BE TREES!

After a two-year hiatus, the Ambler Rotary Club proudly joined the Fairwold Interact Club and Wissahickon Trails for a community tree planting on November 6 at Crosswoods Preserve in Blue Bell. Together, volunteers

—students, Rotarians, and local partners—continued a long-standing tradition that has resulted in more than 2,000 trees planted since 2000. Following the morning of planting, everyone gathered for pizza and fellowship at the Wissahickon Trails office in Ambler. It was a great day of teamwork, environmental stewardship, and intergenerational connection renewing a tradition that strengthens both our community and our planet. 


BOOKS AHOY!

The Ambler Rotary Club recently demonstrated its continued commitment to youth education and literacy by gifting $2,000 worth of books to the Boys & Girls Club of Ambler.  The donation will provide dozens of new, age-appropriate books for children and teens who attend the Club’s after-school and enrichment programs. The books span a wide range of reading levels and interests, ensuring that every child can find something engaging. The partnership between the Ambler Rotary Club and the Boys & Girls Club of Ambler reflects a shared mission: investing in the next generation and strengthening the local community through education, service, and opportunity. Shout out to Ambler Rotary Board Member Anne Frank for making it happen!

Weekly Meetings Wednesdays at noon, Old York Road Country Club, 801 Tennis. 

February 7th – FIRE AND ICE Ambler Rotary will be joining the fun at the Fire & Ice Festival in downtown Ambler on Saturday, February 7! The event features stunning ice sculptures, cozy fire pits, warm drinks, and music by a live DJ...winter vibes, done right.Our members will be stationed next to our Rotary Kiosk on Cavalier Drive showing off our very own Rotary Wheel ice sculpture , created by Philly Ice and artist Peter Slavin. Stop by between 11:30 AM and 4:30 PM to grab a free Rotary hand warmer and help up spread Rotary's message.  Contact Tara if you would like to volunteer.  

ROTARY SPOTLIGHTS

The Rotary Club of Ambler proudly celebrated its 100-year anniversary, marking a century of service, fellowship, and community impact. The milestone was commemorated with a festive 1920s-themed celebration, honoring the era in which our club was founded. Longtime members, honorary Rotarians, local supporters, and community dignitaries gathered to reflect on the club’s rich history. Through shared stories, laughter, and heartfelt toasts, we celebrated the past 100 years while looking ahead with optimism and purpose to the next century of service. CHECK OUT PICTURES HERE!

NEW LUNCH SPOT IS A HIT!

Our new home for weekly lunch meetings is already proving to be a favorite. If you haven’t joined us recently, this is the perfect time to come see the beautiful surroundings and reconnect with fellow Rotarians as we begin planning and executing this year’s community projects. We now meet at Old York Road Country Club at 12:00 PM on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Wednesdays of each month. We’d love to see you there...come join us for good company, great conversation, and meaningful service!

STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Congratulations to our Student s of the Month! 

In November, we recognized Mallea Kelly who has been an active volunteer through Germantown Academy’s charitable program.  The Ambler Rotary was delighted to hear an inspiring speech from Mallea Kelly about her fidelity to public service in her life. 


In January, we recognized Nicholas Loza, a Junior at Upper Dublin High School and officer in Student Government. Nicholas is very impressive in many ways, not the least of which is that he's bi-lingual, speaking both English and Ukranian!
