PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

It’s hard to believe we’re just weeks away from one of the most exciting milestones in our club’s history – Ambler Rotary’s 100th Anniversary! For a full century, our club has embodied “Service Above Self,” building friendships, strengthening our community, and making a lasting impact both locally and abroad. That’s something truly worth celebrating.

To mark the occasion, we’re throwing a party worthy of the Roaring Twenties! Join us on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, for Ambler Rotary’s 100-Year Celebration: A Journey Through Time—a 1920s Speakeasy Party at The Crossings at Ambler Station. Step aboard our “time-traveling train” for an evening of live jazz, vintage cocktails, and heavy hors d’oeuvres as we toast to 100 years of service and friendship.

The “train” departs at 6:00 PM sharp and returns at 10:00 PM. Period-appropriate attire is highly encouraged—but not required—so dust off that flapper dress or fedora and get ready for a night to remember!

PEOPLE OF SERVICE AWARD!

This year’s People of Service Award recipient is Patti Fabiani! Patti is celebrating 30 years in the Wissahickon School District and is one of the founders of the Rising Stars Homework Club. Her commitment to helping local students succeed is truly inspiring. Beyond the district, she also gives her time to St. Joseph’s Church, volunteering with the PREP program and the summer program for kids.

 
RACE TO ZERO!

Ambler Rotary members Tara, Deirdre, Clint and Tony participated in Rotary District 7430’s “Race to Zero – Let’s End Polio” event, which featured a 5K run, 5K walk, and a 1-mile fun run/walk on a beautiful sunny October Saturday morning. 

The event brought together Rotarians and supporters to raise awareness and funds for the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. 

Among the participants was our very own Future Rotarian, Emma Bevivino, who enthusiastically joined in the day’s activities. It was a wonderful display of community, commitment, and Rotary spirit. Ambler Rotary is proud to stand with our district in the fight to end polio worldwide.

SUPPORT OUR NEIGHBORS – MATTIE DIXON COMMUNITY CUPBOARD! 

Ambler Rotary will be collecting food for the Thanksgiving Baskets given out by our local Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard. We are offering members the opportunity to take part in this community effort with either cash contributions of food items. (Diane Schueler will be collecting the cash at our lunch meetings.) The list of requested items is on their web site but the items below are those they particularly need. 

Cream of mushroom soup

Stuffing (box or bag)

Turkey gravy (mix or jar)

Canned cranberry sauce

Canned green beans

Canned corn

ROTARY SPOTLIGHTS

• A huge thank-you to everyone who helped make the Ambler Beer Tent such a success. Your dedication and enthusiasm keep our Rotary mission strong: Service Above Self! The Ambler Rotary Club proudly participated in this year’s Ambler Oktoberfest, running the always-popular Rotary Beer Garden! It was a beautiful fall weekend filled with community spirit, teamwork, and fun. Many of our members volunteered their time—serving, greeting, organizing, and laughing together—all to help raise funds that go right back into our local community.

• Ambler Rotary were joined by members of Blue Bell Rotary for our October Happy Hour - two short days before Halloween! We had fun dressing up and creating a little chaos with our Oktoberfest partner, Well Crafted Brewing!
