Joseph Abinanti, CAIA®

Vice President, ISG Portfolio Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch

Joseph is an Investment Solutions Group (ISG) Portfolio Analyst, focusing on portfolio analysis and portfolio construction. In his current role, Joseph represents the Chief Investment Office (CIO). As a partner to the advisory team, Joseph identifies potential portfolio opportunities and risks, and collaborates with advisors to offer investment strategy recommendations.

Joseph has more than 16 years of investment industry experience working as a portfolio specialist presenting advisors with multi-asset class strategies and alternative investment solutions. Prior to joining Merrill, Joseph was the Director of U.S. Wealth Advisory for Muzinich & Co., a global fixed income manager based in New York City, where he communicated investment outlook and strategy to wealth advisory clients throughout North America. Before joining Muzinich & Co., Joseph was an Investment Consultant for UBS Asset Management representing investment capabilities including mutual funds, separately managed accounts, and hedge fund portfolios. Prior to that, Joseph served in various roles throughout JPMorgan & Morgan Stanley, which included analyzing investment portfolios, reviewing asset allocations, client risk tolerances and objectives.

Joseph has been a contributing author on financial markets and investments in works published by the Oxford University Press. Joseph obtained a B.A. in Psychology from Binghamton University, New York, and holds the Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA®) designation.
