Habitat Work Day

We are excited to again participate in a Habitat for Humanity Lehigh Valley Build Day!  We will be on the site on Saturday, September 26^th from 8-2.  Please email Lisa Luciano at lluciano@ambk.com and CLICK HERE to sign up here if you can attend: when you look under events, you will find our event on 9/26.  You will need to create an account or log in if you have been on before.

The address is 640 Tacoma St, Allentown, PA 18109.  They have just started framing the house so we will be likely doing more hammering, etc this time around! 

I really appreciated the group we had last time and I look forward to another fun group again!  We will likely have less in person service opportunities this year and this would be a great way to see some people and give back!  They have had groups out for several weeks and I did receive the following from Alli at Habitat:

Here are the COVID protocols we are following:

COVID-19 Volunteer Safety Requirements Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, we have implemented the following safety procedures to keep our staff and volunteers safe during this time:

VOLUNTEER GROUPS ARE LIMITED TO 10 PEOPLE MAX.

Masks are required on site at all times. We are requiring volunteers to bring their own face covering.  You will be asked to leave the work site if you do not have one.

Maintain social distancing. Current guidelines require individuals to remain 6 feet apart.

Wash your hands and use hand sanitizer. Wash stations and hand sanitizer will be provided at every site.  We encourage everyone to take a break and wash hands every hour.

Bring your own water bottles, along with your own lunch bags and coolers. During this time, Habitat is requiring all volunteers to bring their own water bottles on site.  We will not be providing communal coolers with ice at this time.

When finished using hand tools, please wipe down with provided cleaners.

*If you are unwell, please stay home.  Anyone presenting with symptoms will be asked to leave the job site immediately.
