I am so honored to help lead this incredible group of business and community leaders over the next twelve months. Believe me, the long line of past presidents and their impact on our club and beyond is truly astounding, and due in a large part to the continued support of the Board and Committee members. Sometimes the "quiet" contributions are overlooked, and I hope all our members stop and take a second to recognize and appreciate their hard work.
As an initiative of Rotary International, and a recipient of this myself, our club is going to begin a "Service Above Self" award annually. It's rather simple - we ask that you, as you are moving through your daily life, to be aware of and bring to us, any individual you feel has truly gone over and above for someone else, in whatever capacity that is. I'm so excited for this and can't wait to honor our first recipient.
For now, I close with just an enormous "thank you" to all of the club for all you do in the name of Rotary. Have a wonderful, safe July 4th

The 2026-27 RI presidential message, Create Lasting Impact, reminds us that “change is only the beginning. Impact is what endures.” This message, shared by President-elect Yinka Babalola at the 2026 International Assembly, reflects our shared purpose as people of action working together to create meaningful change and provides a framework for telling those stories of impact. Using this Rotary-wide message helps create a consistent, unified voice that strengthens recognition of Rotary and supports our continued growth.
The 250th Anniversary of America, also known as the semiquincenntenial, will be celebrated on July 4, 2026. This milestone marks 250 years since the ratification of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, a pivotal moment in American history when the colonies declared their independence from British rule.
