Congratulations York East…our annual golf outing netted $15,631 for our 501c3 York East Rotary Foundation!  Total income for this event was $23,084 and our expenses were $7,453.  Eighty five golfers signed up to participate.  The money raised will be utilized for our annual scholarships for Student’s of the Month & RYLA participants, local service projects chosen through our grant process, matching funds for Paul Harris recognition, as well as any national disaster assistance or international requests.
Two bits of information from our last board meeting.
The first is that the board decided to adopt York Catholic as another school to our annual scholarship program for one senior student and to offer a junior student to attend RYLA.
The second is that the board approved to increase our quarterly dues from $150 to $175.  In addition, Senior Active (age plus Rotary years of service totaling at least 85) annual dues will increase from  $120 to $220.  Breakfast cost will increase from $10 to $15 for visitors and Senior Active members who attend a meeting.  These increases will take place January 1, 2025.

I’d like everyone to think about our membership & leadership.  Our current membership count stands at 52.  At a future meeting, take note of how many are in attendance.  Are there members that you have not seen in a while or ever?  Participation in any organization is critical to its success.  It doesn’t matter how many members you have, what matters is how many active members do you have.  Active members help an organization succeed, but leaders direct the future of the organization.  Without people stepping up to lead, the club will not have much of a future.
How will you Do Rotary Different by asking an inactive member to come back?  How will you Do Rotary Different by assuming the role in a leadership position?
Greg
THANK YOU MEMBERS FOR MAKING THE 2024 GOLF OUTING A SUCCESS! A GREAT DAY WAS HAD BY EVERYONE!
