This year’s planting of the Peace Garden in Riverfront Park will take place on Saturday, May 14, weather permitting. We will meet at the garden on the riverfront in Harrisburg between Maclay and Emerald Streets and start around 9:00 AM. You can come for any amount of time that works for you, and we'll plan to finish around noon. You’ll need to bring your own hand trowel for digging, gloves, a water bottle and sunscreen.
As in previous years, we’ll have about 1000 small flowering plants to put in the ground. Other than having to kneel on the ground, it isn’t difficult work. It is so rewarding! People all over central Pennsylvania appreciate what we do there.
More information to follow about parking, a rain date and the like.
