Thank you so much for your assistance with the Rotary Club of Harrisburg's Service on a Monday at HANNA's Pantry. Twenty-one Rotarians were in attendance along with many representatives from Susquehanna Township School District, the HANNA Foundation and the Central PA Food Bank.
Twenty-eight bags of food were packed for distribution tomorrow to pantry members, and approximately 80 HANNA Pack bags of snacks were prepared for distribution on Wednesday to students in Communities in Schools.
Your involvement was crucial to the success of the event. And your continued support of HANNA's Pantry, HANNA Packs, Susquehanna Township School District, Communities in Schools and the HANNA Foundation is very much appreciated.
THANK YOU!
Susan Anthony
Peace Garden Planting
Saturday, May 14 at 9:00
from Gwen Lehman
This year’s planting of the Peace Garden in Riverfront Park will take place on Saturday, May 14, weather permitting. We will meet at the garden on the riverfront in Harrisburg between Maclay and Emerald Streets and start around 9:00 AM. You can come for any amount of time that works for you, and we'll plan to finish around noon. You’ll need to bring your own hand trowel for digging, gloves, a water bottle and sunscreen.
As in previous years, we’ll have about 1000 small flowering plants to put in the ground. Other than having to kneel on the ground, it isn’t difficult work. It is so rewarding! People all over central Pennsylvania appreciate what we do there.
More information to follow about parking, a rain date and the like.
Please provide all content to Addeline in the format you would like it to be published before 8:00 a.m. on THURSDAY for Friday morning's Rotary Roundup.
