HANNA's Pantry is a project of the HANNA Foundation and an affiliate with the Central PA Food Bank. HANNA's Pantry at Susquehanna Township High School provides nutritional food and essential products to those in need who are residents of Susquehanna Township. Rotary Club of Harrisburg volunteers and their guests will be filling bags with food for an upcoming distribution to members and for HANNA Packs, which provides weekend snacks for students in the district's Communities in Schools program.
Rotarians should access our meeting location from North Progress Avenue, not Elmerton Avenue, at Sara Lindemuth Elementary School. The address for entry location is 1201 N. Progress Ave. Drive past the school straight across the parking lot past the football stadium and park near the gymnasium. Volunteers will help with these directions. After parking, there is a short walk to the rear of the high school at the loading dock and underpass.
Rotarians will be asked to sign in and show current driver's license.
Weather permitting, the volunteer activity and lunch, catered by Alphonso's Bar-b-que, will be outside under cover. Because school is in session, we will NOT have access inside the high school building or to students. Pantry tours will also be available.
Questions can be directed to Sue Ward-Diorio at 717-525-4690. Questions about the pantry or the specifics of service visit to the pantry may be directed to Susan Anthony at 717-979-9920.
