Julie Walker is the founder and President of the Peyton Walker Foundation, an organization dedicated to increasing awareness and survival rates of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). Julie launched the foundation in honor of her daughter, Peyton, who tragically passed away from SCA at the age of 19. Turning unimaginable loss into purpose, Julie has made it her mission to “check hearts, protect hearts, and save lives.”
Under her leadership, the foundation has placed hundreds of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in schools, athletic facilities, and public spaces, while also providing free heart screenings and CPR/AED training to thousands in the community. Julie is a passionate advocate for youth heart health legislation and works closely with schools, legislators, and medical professionals to ensure that no family has to experience the loss her family did.
Her tireless efforts have earned her regional and national recognition, and she continues to be a powerful voice for cardiac safety and preparedness.
