On Monday, June 27, we’re celebrating our club’s achievements for the Rotary year! Hear from our executive team and committee chairs about the challenges and victories of the 2021-2022 Rotary year.
Rotary Year End Celebration
Rotarians gathered for a Year End Celebration social at West Shore Country Club on June 21. For kicks, all guests put their name in a hat to win sparklers and wine – just in time for the July 4th holiday. Members who could “show their ClubRunner app” at the door got a second entry. John Hickey stepped in to coordinate our annual putting contest. Anyone who managed to hit the Rotary bell was given yet another chance to win some exceptionally large sparklers, and unexceptional wine. President Matt welcomed and congratulated everyone on a great year. Bob Geiger took photos for the PR & Marketing committee. Miriam DeFehr stepped in to serve as our greeter – getting in some early practice for next year. Jeff Boswell, Karen Paris, Garry Brinton, Ellen Brown and JC Collins were in attendance. We don’t know what Larry Dittmann and Amy Kaunas were laughing about, but they kept us all in good spirits. James Good and Andy Hetrick impressed us with their golf putts and slow-motion videos. Norma Swain should win a prize since she brought a friendly not-yet Rotarian with her. Finally, we were all excited to see Joan Dickinson again. Joan has been busy visiting Mid Penn Bank branches across the state, so we are grateful she was able to join us for a social gathering. Thank you, everyone, for making time for Rotary fun and fellowship!
