Andy Rebuck, recipient of the 2025 Rotary Club of Harrisburg Lifetime Achievement Award, has dedicated 35 years to Rotary service, embodying the spirit of “service above self.” Born in Sunbury, PA, and raised in a community-focused family, Andy’s lifelong commitment to service began early, helping at his family’s deli and supporting his mother’s hospital fundraising efforts. After graduating from Penn State, Andy built a successful 40-year career in the billboard industry, but it was his passion for Rotary that truly defined his legacy. Joining the Rotary Club in Albany in 1991 and transferring to Harrisburg in 1992, Andy became a driving force in local initiatives, especially those benefiting Hospice of Central PA and the Boy Scouts through golf outings. His leadership, inspired by his parents’ own Rotary involvement, has fostered countless relationships and advanced the club’s mission. Andy’s devotion to family, community, and Rotary has left a lasting impact on Harrisburg and beyond. Congratulations Andy on winning the Rotary Club of Harrisburg's Lifetime Achievement Award! 10. Andy was born in Sunbury Pa March 31, 1960 and he grew up in a 3 story house on Susquehanna Avenue along the Susquehanna River.
9. His parents, Bob and Anne had 5 children in 5 years and 3 months with Andy the youngest.
8. His father was engaged with the local farmers market and operated a deli stand where the family members all joined in to help. His mom was the volunteer director and involved in PR and fundraising at the local hospital.
7. His dad said, are you going to Penn State or to Penn State so Andy went to Penn State.
6. Andy married his high school sweetheart on July 29, 1984 and their first date was a Billy Joel concert in December 1976 at Bucknell University
5. Gail and Andy have two adult children. Daughter Lauren and husband Steve are in Philly with the four adorable grandkids and son Peter and fiancee Sarah are in the Boston area.
4. Andy joined the billboard business February 18, 1985 and the company moved him to Albany NY and then back to Harrisburg as he completed a 40 year career with retirement this past April 1st
3. While in Albany in 1991, he joined the Rotary Club and then transferred membership to the Harrisburg club upon relocating in the summer of 1992.
2. Andy loves to golf and combines that love to help secure sponsors for golf outings that benefit Hospice of Central Pa and the local Boy Scout chapter.
1 Speaking of love, Andy loves Rotary. Both his parents have been long-time members of the Sunbury Club and have encouraged him to use his time, talent and resources to foster relationships and service above self.
