The Flatland car show is officially in the books. I want to personally thank everyone who volunteered on Saturday. It's always a good sign when people are lining up at 7:15, before we are even set up. We had over 100 entries and Main Street is packed. Congratulations also to Beth on winning the 50/50 raffle, we are glad to bring back your 7th-grade memories (ask her about this). Again, thank you for all your hard work. There were a lot of great cars and great interactions!
District Governor Visit
District Governor Jeff Horlacher will be visiting our club tomorrow, 10-8-2024, to give us an update on Rotary District 5680 and his actions as the District Governor. Please attend if you are able as we want to represent our club well.
World Polio Day
World Polio Day is fast approaching, October 24th. Our goal is to have Pints for Polio that evening at Waudbys. It's a Thursday evening and should be a fun time. We are hoping that everyone who's able to attend will attend and help donate to a great cause to end polio now. Who knows, Aaron might even bring his glass boot again this year!
How many months has it been?
It's crazy to think that June was more than just last month. Rotary has been in full swing, inducting new members, helping with service projects, and growing together as a group. Interact is in full swing at the Junior/Senior High School and we as a club continue to hit the ground running. We were fortunate to receive a district grant to help provide a mobile dental clinic in the Philippines and continue to extend our reach with Rotary. As we approach the holiday season, I want to remind everyone to try and find little ways to give back, not only to our community but also to your fellow man/woman. Let's continue to extend Rotary's mission to everyone that we can!
