Wednesday 26 April

As a special ANZAC Day focus this week Mervyn Rosen will speak about the MV Krait and the raid on Singapore. Down at the wharves of Sydney's Darling Harbour, amid the bustling crowds and high-rise buildings, an unassuming timber fishing boat is moored at the Australian National Maritime Museum.  Appearances can be deceiving though. MV Krait, as the old Japanese trawler is known, played a key role in one of World War II's most audacious and successful commando raids on Singapore Harbour on the night of 26 September 1943.

We encourage members to invited family and friends to this special evening and in addition to our door prizes of wine there is the opportunity to win a family pass to the Australian National Maritime Museum.
