On Tuesday we had Mack Male from Taproot Edmonton speak to our club about the upcoming municipal election. Taproot Edmonton is a source of curiosity-driven original stories, curated newsletters on various topics, and locally focused podcasts with a mission to help communities understand themselves better. Taproot Edmonton has a strong focus on municipal issues and club members were very interested in what they have to say about the upcoming municipal election. One of the exciting tools they are developing is a candidate survey that will be used to match voters with a candidate whose position on election issues most closely aligns-- it will be great to visit their website later this fall to give the tool a try and use it to become more informed about the election.
