Visit from DG Donna Barrett
We were honoured to have District Governor Donna Barrett come to our club meeting on Tuesday, July 13th!

Donna met with our Executive before joining our regular club meeting.
She spoke on this year's theme of Service To Change Lives and remarked how our club already has a stellar record of our Service to the community. She also informed us that next years District Conference will be in Edmonton on May 27th and 28th, 2022. Once more information is available about the conference we will be sharing it with the club.

There is also of the of the End Polio Now Virtual Run taking place between Sept 11th and 19th -  https://portal.clubrunner.ca/50012/Stories/end-polio-now-virtual-run  Take a look all you runners and walkers. This sounds like a great event to take part in!

The winner could take home up to $5,000 and the minimum prize for the winner is $2,000. The draw will take place on Canada Day.

Wounded Warriors Canada is a national mental health service provider utilizing clinical best practices and evidence-informed care to create an environment of compassion, resiliency, and hope for Canada’s Veterans, First Responders, and their families.

Congratulations to the winner, Neil Reid of Edmonton, who took home $3,360. Thanks you to everyone who supported this fundraiser.

Challenge: Get ONE - GIVE 50!
When you get your Covid-19 vaccine, you may want to consider paying it forward by donating $10 USD to the Polio Fund of the Rotary Foundation. After 2:1 matching from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, your $10 USD will pay for 50 polio vaccinations! We are so close to stamping out polio and your donation will help! Plus, polio vaccination infrastructure has already been of assistance in fighting Covid-19.
