This 5K & 10K Fun Run/Walk to raise funds to eradicate polio is a Rotary Days of Service Project, co-sponsored by Rotary District 5370 and the Rotary Club of Edmonton Riverview.
Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors and others are encouraged to sign up to complete their virtual 5K or 10K walk or run any time between September 11 and 19.
Saturday Aug 14, a devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake ravaged Haiti.
We are extremely concerned about the situation. Deaths have already been reported and the numbers are expected to quickly climb - high casualties are probable. Collapsed buildings have been reported and past events like this have required national and international assistance. We don't know the full extend of the destruction, but the situation is dire.
SHELTERBOX IS PREPARED
ShelterBox emergency response teams are assessing the situation and communicating directly with in country and community agencies like Habitat for Humanity Haiti and local Rotarians. We are preparing to respond. This includes finding out what the Haitian communities tell us they need.
But we need your support.
We need your help to ensure the most vulnerable families around the world receive the aid they need.

Roman Bayrock and wife Sandra ( RC Edmonton Riverview) are spearheading a project for Belize in conjunction with the next SeaCan of playgrounds and assorted surplus equipment headed down at the end of the month/early September.
Their goal is to collect 250 wedding gowns, veils etc. to send down to the women in Belize looking to set up a resale shop to give them some economic opportunities. They have over 150 so far.
