Whyte Ave is Ready for the New Rotary Year!

Rotary Whyte Avenue had its first ever online Annual General Meeting (AGM) last Tuesday!

President-elect Stan B. took the reins of the meeting to vote in the new leadership team and the budget for the next Rotary year, which starts on July 1st.

President-elect Stan walked members through the 2020-21 budget, which includes new funds towards new and exciting projects, such as the Whyte Ave Rotary scholarship! He also talked about the club's continued support for longstanding Rotary Whyte Ave projects, including our work with the Neighbour Centre and Shelterbox!

The new leadership team was also presented and voted in unanimously!  The new committee chairs talked about their goals for the new Rotary year - examples include having exciting fellowship events, such as a ghost tour; new and engaging orientation sessions for new members to the club; and online trivia nights!

It will no doubt be an exciting year - thank you to Stan B. for leading the AGM and thank you to everyone who joined!

Finishing Up the 2019-20 Finances At Roosters

(A few members met at Roosters to review outstanding finances for the year)

To ensure the Rotary Whyte Ave books are ready to go for the new Rotary year, President Kevin, Treasurer Stan K., and, with an impromptu visit from Membership Chair Kathy, all got together to chat about club finances and to sign documents!

We met to ensure there were no outstanding cheques or bills as well as to sign cheques for reimbursements. We were also able to prepare and finalize membership packages!

We were able to do this while physical distancing at Roosters, who provided us a table (and some nice drinks on a hot day!).

Thank you to Stan K. and Kathy for your amazing work!  Thank you to Roosters for hosting us!
